Force floating keyboard to show automatically on one page only.

I use floating keyboard in topmost position of the page. Normally it is shown automatically when text input is required and it is fine, but I have one page where I need the keyboard to be open automatically as soon as the user gets to that page. What I need: I come to THIS page - > the on-screen keyboard is open already in topmost position. I come to some other page -> the on-screen keyboard is shown automatically when text input is required I tried to do it with zones, but unfortunately the keyboard only shows once and then disappears.

Select element on page provokes the touch keyboard to appear

Hi, I have a problem with SiteKiosk. I have a hidden element on my page. The options are added automatically behind the scenes and this adding provokes the keyboard to appear. I tried to disable the select element and the option elemnt. Tried to make the select element readonly. (It is "display: "none"" already anyway) But nothing works. Can I avoid the keyboard to recognize the select element? I have some inputs on the same page so I cannot disable the keyboard completely and I need the "Show on-screen keyboard automatically when text input is required" to be active. Sincerely,

sitekiosk for security this action is not allowed

Hello Support. We have security issues when attempting to open up word files. It prompts up "sitekiosk for security this action is not allowed". I understand that there is normally a dialog box asking the user for action (open, save file). Is there a way to bypass this, so it opens all the time and preferably in browser. I have tried using the reg hacks for win7 and office 2010, but none has worked so far. I've also tried IE9 and Chrome with no luck. I understand that possibly i need to enable the download manager feature, which allows the user to download the file and then the user needs to find the file from the manager and open it. But it becomes quite messy to do so. Is there a way to open up the files from the kiosk without any errors so it's transparent for the user ? Cheers Perry

PC can not autologin after about a week

We have installed Sitekiosk on 7 PCs in our domain so far. The problem is that after about a week the autologin feature stops working and the PC ends up at the login prompt of Windows 7 with the sitekiosk user as username. The strange thing is that it isn't all PCs at the same time. To solve this I access the system with my USB-key, do a restart of the system with the auto-login options enabled and then it works again for a while. /Per Elofson, Sweden

how to configure wifi under Sitekiosk restricted user.

Hi, We have a couple pc's with sitekiosk on it. When we auto start sitekiosk under the sitekiosk restricted user they do not have a connection to internet because of the password of the wifi is not entered under this user. When we shutdown sitekiosk we are in windows, under this user there is no option to configure the wifi settings because of policies of sitekiosk under this account. How can we make sure that these computers can connect to the internet with the correct wifi settings in sitekiosk?

Hello, We purchase this software to run on a Kiosk for one of our clients. The client is saying that each morning when they walk up to the Kiosk it is at a windows 7 screen with a dell and Sitekiosk icon. They have to relaunch the software and then it seems to work fine until the next morning where they find it back at the windows screen. Is there a setting it stop it from doing this. Thanks, Mike

I am installing the software, then going into the screen saver feature and registering with the siteremote server. But for some reason, every 30 days its deleting my computers from the Machine list It has this message on each machine: Unregistered Client Version (more than 1 minutes) Tuesday, May 13, 2014 3:06:51 PM Unregistered Software: Machine does not have a valid license code. The operating system might be unprotected! Please note that unregistered clients will be deleted after 30 days. When I open Sitekiosk Configuration, it says on the right hand side that "This machine is currently registered with SiteRemote server. But at the top it has "unregistered version" with a registration button. When I go to the registration button... it doesnt allow me to do anything in there either. Im stumped... any guidance is appreciated

Site access prohibited - STCU

Good afternoon, My company recently switched to an entirely new website and I'm having problems logging into the site once locked down with SiteKiosk. Our Home Page is https://www.stcu.org. SiteKiosk is setup to launch to this site upon system boot, and back to this site once a user logs off. Here's the catch... After a user inputs their username via https://www.stcu.org, they are then routed to https://my.stcu.org to enter their password and answer security questions. With SiteKiosk enabled, I receive a "SiteKiosk - Accessing this URL is Prohibitied" error message. In the Surfing Access for my config file, I've allowed access to the 2 URLs above, and selected "denied" for all other web addresses. If I change this to "allowed" for all other web addresses, SiteKiosk does not present the error message above, and allows me to https:/my.stcu.org. Finally, if I set my start page to https://my.stcu.org, I have no problems logging in. It's only when I try to pass through https://www.stcu.org first that I receive the error. You might be thinking, why don't we just set it to start on https://my.stcu.org? I'd prefer to do this, but web team has asked that we route through www.stcu.org. Do you have any ideas as to how I can make this happen? Thank you for your help!

No password works

there is a DNS issue that i cant get into the computer to check/fix which i may also need help with. first and foremost is the password though: None of our passwords we typically use, work. We had a Warning emergency config file loaded page constantly and i couldnt log out/in from that page hitting ctl alt p when the prompt came up. i then hit f8 upon a hard restart and did all system hardware checks. Safe mode would not allow me in with any password either. I hit "repair" which allowed me to roll back to a previous working Windows. i then got the kiosk software to properly load, but all the links had the DNS issue. Still no password works. The only time a password worked was doing "repair" from f8 where i had the option of picking a user and so i chose admin and the default worked for the password. ive also tried holding Shift while the OS loads to avoid the kiosk program loading to no avail help please! this is a kiosk we, the DOT, have working at the airport for travelers.

Hello, My problem is that on Windows 8.1 and IE11 default Zoom for all pages is 150%, I do not find in Sitekiosk how to change this setting. I changed it in IE (see screen shot attached) but it did not affect Sitekiosk which is still 150% on all pages. How can I fix this?

Problem with URL

I reposted because of a typo with the code that threw off the formatting. Please delete the other post. I have run into a little problem that has stumped me for the last few days, and I am hoping the experts here can help. I am looking to use SiteKiosk in a bank to play a presentation and link to an loan application. The presentation is an offline presentation in a self contained .exe made with the Prezi presentation software. I am able to get the presentation to play fine and it works great. The problem is that when you click the link at the end of the presentation to apply for a loan, the URL gets text added to the address both before and after the actual URL. I know for a fact the URL is correct in the actual presentation and if I break out of sitekiosk it works correctly. I suspect it has something to do site the sitekiosk shell but I cant seem to figure out how to fix it. Here is the log file, I have edited the links for privacy. 20 03e9 2014-05-15 09:37:05 -0400 [SiteKiosk] started 20 1771 2014-05-15 09:37:09 -0400 [SiteRemote] startup 20 03ec 2014-05-15 09:37:09 -0400 [SiteKiosk] Navigation: https://www.blahfcu.com/ 20 0000 2014-05-15 09:37:13 -0400 [SiteKiosk] Notification: [Memory Status] Physical Memory: 1.03 GB (2.88 GB free, 26.4% used); Paging File: 1.30 GB (6.52 GB free, 16.6% used) 20 0000 2014-05-15 09:37:13 -0400 [SiteKiosk] Notification: [Process Status] GDI Objects: 71; USER Objects: 124; Handles: 1045; Process Memory Usage: 102.82 MB 20 0000 2014-05-15 09:37:13 -0400 [SiteKiosk] Notification: Language changed to English 20 0000 2014-05-15 09:37:13 -0400 [SiteKiosk] Notification: SYSTEM INFORMATION - Computer Name: FLM-KIOSK, Computer Guid: 21137690-31c0-46b9-9b34-54455e526139, User Agent Information: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/7.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; .NET4.0C; .NET4.0E; SiteKiosk 8.8 Build 1686), Running under restricted SiteKiosk user: true 20 03ed 2014-05-15 09:37:14 -0400 [SiteKiosk] Frame-Navigation: https://4394339.fls.doubleclick.net/activityi;src=4394339;type=Retar0;cat=Unive0;ord=1;num=2235239809387.152? Sitekiosk player on secondary monitor (as screensaver) fails to run upon restart

I am running SiteKiosk on a dedicated Windows 7 PC (nothing else is running on this...) and I configured to display a Power Point presentation on the second monitor as a screen saver while the first monitor is displaying the regular SiteKiosk stuff. After every 360 minutes, the Sitekiosk restarts itself as per Maintenance settings and the second monitor fails to resume the Power Point presentation and only displays the main Sitekiosk logo screen. This is quite annoying as I have to reboot the PC to get the ppt working again on the 2nd monitor but only for another 360 minutes again... I tried to edit the config file and change the line: true to false but it won't allow me to save, it displays a message saying that "Please check if this file is opened in another program". I am very sure that it is not opened in any other program, but yet I can't save the change. Is there any way to have the restart after 360 minutes cancelled? Or, is there any way to prevent second monitor from resuming playing the ppt through sitekiosk player after an automatic restart? Thank you Mario

Sitekiosk not able to run application.

Hi Support, We have an issue of sitekiosk not able to run one of our user's application. The application is S3DHost.exe. After adding the application under the Specified Programs, we tried to click test. It gives an error of: "This application has failed to start because PerfNav.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." This is one of the file located inside the application folder. It is weird why it can't run because when my user ran the S3DHost.exe on normal Windows mode, there is no such error, meaning the application runs fine. I tried to allow access to the application folder under "File Manager" it doesn't work either. I even added the whole C:\ and it still didn't run. If an application has some dependency, will using this method work(adding the whole application folder to File Manager.)? From logfile, it shows this: Notification: Application 'C:\SmartPlant\3D\Core\Container\Bin\S3DHost.exe' was started!" But in actual fact, the application did not launch successfully. I have another question. If an application requires access to SQL database, where should they configure it? Is there any sample code where they can refer to? Thanks for the help.
